Hanging out after a ride has always been part of our program. During the Covid summer of 2020 we came to rely on mountain biking and trailhead visits with friends as our primary social interactions. A beer on the tailgate was an even more special time. And that's what we're all about; the connection and stoke that keeps the good times going after an awesome ride. Also known as tailgating, at Team Good Times, we're bringing 'après' to mountain biking.
We believe in celebrating everyday achievement. Celebrate your ride, your friends, an hour on the trail deserved after 8 hours at a desk (or with your kids). Taking time for yourself, finding time with your friends even in the middle of a global pandemic. Being outside. And IF you drink beer or anything else after - damn it - it should be cold! You make sure your bike is dialed in; we're here to help dial in your après.
As new parents, we discovered that the cooler bags from our pumps kept four beer cans just as cold as four bottles of milk - so it became our go-to après-ride companion. We don’t claim to have reinvented the wheel; maybe it was the exhaustion of new parenthood, maybe it was the pandemic, but we were inspired to create a purpose-built cooler for tall cans (because anything worth doing is worth doing for 473mls).
BC, like every serious mountain bike community in the world has hundreds of craft breweries - so we present to you our Six Percent Cooler - perfectly fits four tall cans which is the format of choice for most breweries. Consider it the 148mm spacing in a world of 142mm wheels. Don’t worry, we’re backward compatible. Your short cans will fit - maybe even leave you room for a sammy if you need to push through until dinner.
As a group of passionate cyclists based out of Revelstoke British Columbia, we are committed to give back to our community of trail builders by donating (you guessed it!) 6% of our profits to our local cycling association, the RCA. Every purchase makes a difference and helps to maintain the 150 km of world class trails around Revelstoke.
We hope you'll join us and give back to the trails and donate to the growing selection of mountain bike trail associations that we're partnering with across Canada. Think of it as a ‘tip’ or a high five for the people who are maintaining the trails you slay all day. We don’t think twice to give the standard 15-20% tip for great service in a restaurant, so why wouldn’t we take this opportunity to say ‘’Yeeeeew...Thanks for the fun times!’’?
The way it works: every donation will be remitted to the closest trail association we're partnering with in your area.
We've selected a number of mountain biking associations to help them fund the development and maintenance of their trail network. You can find them below:
